Chakra Aerial Yoga is a playful and fun way to practise yoga and enhance other sporting activities.
With our weight supported, either partially or fully by the fabric, we can explore ways of aligning and strengthening the body as well as releasing tension and decompressing joints in a practice that is playful and restorative rather than stressful or strenuous.

INTRODUCTION TO AERIAL YOGA
Two hours of loveliness in your very own cocoon! The hammock is hung at hip height and traditional yoga poses are adapted as we explore improved alignment; strengthening the core and lengthening the body whilst releasing built up muscle tension and relieving joint compression. We will play with a few confidence building flips or tricks for fun and will also include an inversion if you are in the mood for hanging upside down! (Don't worry if you're not). We finish with a floating seated meditation and blissed out Savasana laying down in the hammock. Bliss!
Essential oils are used throughout the workshop and sweetness after practice.

FLY HIGH TO STAY GROUNDED
In the Fly High classes you will be able to achieve advanced yoga postures that can take years to learn. It helps for deeper stretches and greater flexibility whilst building core strength – with ease, and because it’s so playful it leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed.
RESTORE AND RELEASE
Blissed out tunes and low lighting, floating between the low level hammock and the mat, spending longer in poses and easing into the body and breath. We will explore floating, fluid movements and create space in the body without compressing joints. An uplifting chilled out practice to take you into the week ahead. This practice is suitable for beginners to yoga and aerial and for those in recovery from injury. The hammock is lower down so it’s easier to get in and out of. Bliss!
AERIAL STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
We take inspiration from classic yoga poses and get creative with the hammock to build STRENGTH, STRENGTH, STRENGTH as the cornerstone of the practice from which all poses are possible. Working from a strong centre to the periphery to enhance lengthening poses, challenge balance and create body awareness. The hammock may be hung at hip height or shin height depending on what the focus of the class is. We don't invert in this class so you don't need to attend a workshop. We still meditate and we still relax in Savasana and it’s all done in your very own cocoon. A perfect complement to your regular mat practice.
