Emily started practising Yoga in 2008 as a way of managing her mental health and the stresses of University life. She began to attend a kundalini yoga class and fell in love with the practise. As a result she decided to train at the Rosedale school of yoga in North Yorkshire, accredited by the Yoga Alliance. The teacher training incorporated kundalini and Hatha yoga practises, as well as Ayurvedic studies, nutrition and yoga Philosophy. This comprehensive 2 year course gave Emily a real passion for many aspects of yoga. On graduation in 2012 Emily took a trip to India where she visited various ashrams and monasteries and immersed herself in the culture, and the various practises of yoga.
Over the years Emily has developed a deep passion for mantra and Bhakti yoga (devotional singing). Emily has incorporated sound with yoga developing a gong yoga style with her partner and also teaches meditation and relaxation sound journeying. Emily has found over the years that kundalini has helped her gain a well balanced lifestyle.
