The first consultation can last up to 90 minutes as he takes a thorough medical history. Clients are asked which issues they wish to prioritise, however, further symptoms are often resolved along with the main presenting condition/s.

Duey’s approach is gentle, reassuring, informal and professional.The first session includes a full acupuncture treatment where very fine, sterile single-use, disposable needles are placed at specific points on the body and left for around twenty minutes. Subsequent treatments may also include moxibustion, massage and cupping.

Duey abides by the BAcC’s strict code of conduct on ethics and safe practice and is registered with Kirklees Environmental Health Department and is fully insured.

Duey graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture after studying for 3 years at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), fully insured and is registered with Kirklees Environmental Health.

Traditional acupuncture is an holistic therapy which supports the body’s own self-healing mechanisms. Duey is experienced in treating a wide range of conditions such as: headaches and migraine, musculoskeletal pain, including back and neck pain, shoulder issues, sprains, sports injuries, sciatica and more chronic conditions such as arthritis. He also treats hormonal, menopausal and gynaecological issues along with many other challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to digestive disorders and insomnia.
